(Dan Tri) – `Inside the Golden Cocoon` – a film directed by Pham Thien An – ranked 24th in the list of 50 best films of the year voted by the British Film Institute.

This list is considered by the Institute to contain many surprising elements but still clearly reflects the most impressive things during a year of developments in the film world.
Notably on this year’s list, a film from Vietnamese cinema – Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell – appears at number 24. The film was made by young director Pham Thien.
The film revolves around the male protagonist’s journey to bring his sister-in-law’s body back to his hometown for burial.
The lucky child who survived the traffic accident set off with his uncle, and the two returned to their hometown to hold the burial ceremony for the deceased.

In May this year, at the Cannes Film Festival (France), director Pham Thien An was awarded the Golden Camera Award for the film Inside the Golden Cocoon.
The British Film Institute commented that Inside the Golden Cocoon has introduced into the male protagonist’s journey the eternal question about the meaning of existence.
The film is considered to have its own quality, and can be seen as a very successful and impressive `escape from the body` and `tearing off the cocoon` of the young director in his first film. The British Film Institute evaluates
