Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram called on the country to be ready for a possible conflict with Russia even after the war in Ukraine ends.
`We must be prepared for Russia to reconsider its plans, as well as where it deploys its forces in response to Finland and Sweden becoming NATO members,` Minister Gram declared today.

In an interview with the Polish publication Super Express, he emphasized attention to `worst-case scenarios`, implying readiness for any outcome of the current international situation.
The Polish Minister of Defense paid special attention not only to the situation in Ukraine but also to tensions in the Black Sea and Pacific regions, emphasizing the global nature of military challenges.
Mr. Kosinyak-Kamysh announced a review and adjustment of defense plans, including compensating for weapon shortages and improving soldiers’ personal equipment.
Minister Kosinyak-Kamysh also announced Poland’s plan to participate in establishing the European Union’s rapid reaction force in the period 2024-2025.
Recently, the militaries of many NATO countries also issued warnings about the risk of conflict with Russia.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Russia could attack a NATO country in the next 5-8 years.
According to Mr. Pistorius, in the context of the conflict with Ukraine, it will take Russia at least several years to be ready for another comprehensive attack and Western countries should take advantage of this time to increase their armaments.
Previously, German newspaper Bild cited a secret document saying that Germany is preparing for a conflict scenario in which Russia conducts an `open attack` on NATO in mid-2025, after its victories.
Chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, also warned people to prepare for all-out war with Russia in the next 20 years.
Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Armed Forces Micael Byden and Swedish Civil Defense Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin called on all Swedish citizens to be ready for war.
